About

Cristian Francioso Studio is a London-based architectural design practice focused on thoughtful residential design, from extensions and loft conversions to renovations and interiors.

Founded by architectural designer Cristian Francioso, the studio approaches each project individually, working closely with clients to understand how they live and how their homes can be adapted around them.

Cristian graduated with First-Class Honours from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, following a First-Class undergraduate degree in Architecture from Oxford Brookes University, where his work was nominated for the RIBA Bronze Medal.

His professional experience includes working at Foster + Partners, contributing to major international projects and developing experience across design, drawing, modelling and project development.

Alongside professional practice, Cristian's work has explored the relationship between architecture, memory, identity and the home. This research continues to inform the studio's approach to residential design: creating spaces that feel personal to the people who inhabit them rather than applying the same solution to every house.

What I Do

The studio works with homeowners on projects including:

House Extensions
Rear, side-return and wraparound extensions designed around the existing character of the home and the way you want to live.

Loft Conversions
Transforming unused roof space into bedrooms, studies and additional living spaces.

Renovations & Remodelling
Reconsidering existing homes through new layouts, improved connections between spaces and carefully considered architectural interventions.

Interiors
Interior layouts, materials, finishes, joinery and architectural details developed as part of a coherent approach to the home.

From the first conversation and early design ideas through to planning and the later stages of a project, the aim is to make the process clear, collaborative and personal.
